At the heart of my work is support for movers through coaching and education.

Psychoeducation and Workshops

My teaching and recommendations are based on my own and others’ scientific research.

Each workshop is tailored to the dance/performance/creative context, taking into consideration style, age, likely career trajectories, and other relevant information (e.g. boarding, assessing out). I ask for this information in advance, and sometimes ask participants to complete a worksheet first to get a feel for how I can help. I introduce basic principles to younger* attendees but use more scientific terms with vocational students and professionals.

*I have completed NSPCC Safeguarding Training & hold an Enhanced DBS.

  • “I can’t thank you enough for supporting (name removed) in finding her motivation again and for helping her to work out where she wanted to go with her training. She’s now happily at her top choice Performing Arts school in London and absolutely loving it!” -

    Parent of coaching client

  • “I had my interview yesterday morning and they rung me in the evening to offer me the job! Your coaching has been so valuable to me and it really made some positive changes in the way I think and in my confidence, so thank you. I will take it with me throughout my career”

Coaching client - dancer going through career transition.

  • “I have been fortunate to work with Lucie in group and one to one settings, where she has provided key exercises and tasks to help me optimise my mental wellbeing and understand situations better. In speaking with Lucie as part of a group, she helped us rationalise and reflect on our attitude towards work and each other, in the studio space and how we can positively help and communicate better. Lucie has been able to offer tools, that I can integrate into my everyday life to help manage realistic and positive expectations of myself - this allows me to enter rehearsal spaces objectively and calmly, which then allows me to optimally perform in the studio.”

  • I was at your talk this morning. I just wanted to say thank you and that my daughter has been in touch this afternoon. It’s so helpful for her to hear what she hears at home from another adult - especially in a world that tends to communicate in ways that feel very pressurised and outcome focused! She’s a young dancer who’s experienced multiple ‘rejections’ over the years and can now begin to see how helpful this has been for her!

  • “Your sessions always leave us with more knowledge and a feeling that the tools you give us are manageable to apply and use. Thank you for sharing your knowledge around the dance community!”

  • “I turned an audition day I was dreading into a day I thoroughly enjoyed and it’s all thanks to the lecture you gave us on Performance Anxiety!”

    Musical Theatre Student

  • “Your psychology lectures were always brilliant – the highlight of my week!”
